Theoretical and experimental studies on wetting phenomena

Research

Developments of thin liquid film and microstructure on a material are important in the field of coating and imprinting technologies. Current research focuses on an understanding of wetting phenomena between liquid and solid which plays an important role in the coating and imprint. Especially, theoretical and experimental studies are performed observing a droplet behavior because the droplet behavior is fundamental phenomena for wetting.

Future goal is to develop a theoretical model for predicting the wetting phenomena quantitatively and apply it to actual industrial system.
